Heroes with a specialty
- Wystan the Beastmaster has lizardmen as a specialty, which increases the attack and defense skills of any lizardmen or lizard warriors for each level attained after 2nd level and gives them a speed bonus of 1.
Overall Tactics
In Shadow of Death and Horn of the Abyss, the lizardmen can be a real threat in early game when in range, due to their high damage and pretty good stats. They can also endure some damage, because of their high defense.
Restoration of Erathia and Armageddon's Blade
In Restoration of Erathia and Armageddon's Blade the statistics of lizardmen and lizard warriors were a bit different. They were changed in Shadow of Death, where their attack, defense, health, damage, growth and cost were increased.

The in-game description "{{{herospec}}}" is erroneous in "each level attained" moment, and lacks the speed bonus information. (Description is fixed in HotA ).
Unlike the native terrain speed bonus, the creature specialty speed bonus can affect the hero's movement points in case the creature is the slowest one in the army.
