Race

In the manual, it is said that he is Efreet - Mortarial (talk) 15:10, 21 July 2020 (UTC)

In the campaign, it is said he is the child of a Human male and a female Kreegan.--FirePaladin2 (talk) 15:27, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Still, I don't think that he should be called as a Devil, since it was never pointed out. If he is a son of a Succubus and an Erathian knight, then I would rather call him as a Half-Demon. Mortarial (talk) 17:14, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
Same.--FirePaladin2 (talk) 17:46, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
He looks like an Arch-Devil, though. Maybe Succubi count as female Devils?
No. Among other reasons, the kreegan hive queen was able to spawn many kinds of Kreegans. We should also not forget that the Inferno lineup has several kinds of Kreegans in itself, they are a versatile and mutative race (which is made known in several games, to my knowledge). Yes, it was Gregory who pretty much confirmed that all "demons" of JVC's era (with some exceptions, like gogs and efreet) are in fact Kreegans.--FirePaladin2 (talk) 19:35, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Xeron technically is a human, in the same way that Ordwald is a druid: it may not be what makes sense according to the lore, but it's what's coded in the game. (Check offset 0x27d588 in Heroes3.exe; you'll see it's the 07 of Humans and not the 00 of Demons. The race enum is in alphabetical order, so it goes demon, dwarf, efreet, elf, genie, gnoll, goblin, human, lich, etc.) Of course, the difference is that classes do have an impact on the game, while races do not. But I figure that if we have Ordwald as a Druid because it's what he technically is in the game data; then Xeron should be a Human because it's what he technically is in the game data. --Turnam (talk) 13:20, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
