Wyverns and Wyvern Monarchs are level 6 creatures of Fortress town. They are recruited from the Wyvern Nest.

In addition to recruiting Wyverns from Wyvern Nests, they can be received as a reward from Dragon Fly Hives.

They are considered to be the worst level 6 unit statistically, together with the manticores and scorpicores, bearing under-average health. However, they can be "farmed" on certain maps or templates from one or more Dragon Fly Hives, sometimes resulting in Wyverns being the strongest stack in the army. The Wyvern Monarchs can also be used to poison enemy stacks, lowering their max health by 10% for three turns.

Heroes with a specialty

• Broghild the Beastmaster has wyverns as a specialty, which increases the attack and defense skills of any wyverns or wyvern monarchs for each level attained after 6th level and gives them a speed bonus of 1.
