Dark Elf
A race of elves who chose to follow dark paths of enlightenment, ability and magic. Featured in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, Horn of the Abyss and Day of Reckoning.
They settled in Jadame centuries ago. Among the first humanoid races to establish themselves on the continent, the Dark Elves built the city of Alvar in the headwaters of a river canyon. From there, they built an overland trade monopoly that today provides them great wealth and continent-wide influence. The Merchant Guild of Alvar is run by Dark Elves.
