Roland. Xanthor was instrumental in saving the world from Escaton's cataclysm. He constructed the Conflux Key that allowed the heroes of Jadame to enter Escaton's Crystal and, from there, reach the Destroyer himself on the Plane Between Planes and stop the cataclysm.
With the crisis averted, Xanthor did not join the Ironfists when they continued their voyage back to Enroth. Fascinated by the lands of Jadame, he decided to stay there. Xanthor also intended to study the Crystal's shard.
Lost Lore

Xanthor was first introduced in a series of short stories that take place shortly before and around the start of the events depicted in Restoration of Erathia, delving into the background lore of Antagarich. He is a professor at the University of Erathia, along with Marcus Finch, another central figure in these stories. It is also mentioned that Xanthor is ![]()

Solmyr. He quickly suspected Xanthor of telling the Wizards about the Horn.

- Xanthor has noticeably increased his magic training by the time of Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer. Particularly, he learned much from Erathia's elemental allies.
