The imprisoned hero can be set by a mapmaker or be chosen randomly. A random hero will have a default starting army.
On random maps the hero type in prison is randomised. If f.e. no hero from Rampart is available in the template settings, generator will try to generate prison, but it will not appear on the map (it will count towards maximum number per zone)
Horn of the Abyss
In Horn of the Abyss, two additional variants of prison were added:
