He starts with a spell book and knows the spell prayer. Loynis' specialty adds to Prayer's normal speed, attack and defense bonuses:

• +3 to creatures on level 1–2
• +2 to creatures on level 3–4
• +1 to creatures on level 5–6, and
• no additional bonus for creatures on level 7.

Although the description of the specialty states, "based on hero level compared to the level of the target unit", Loynis' level has no effect on the specialty.

Biography

Loynis has always believed that physical violence was never necessary as long as proper magic and prayer could be invoked. Amazingly enough, he made it work, and now is regarded as a successful, though unconventional, leader.

Comments & debate

Prayer as a specialty would be most excellent, but Loynis' learning skill - which some consider less useful than any other skill - makes him a better choice for a secondary hero.
