George Almond
One of the Heroes of Might and Magic III artists.
With David Mullich's assistance, [ Phelan Sykes ], Scott White, Adam McCarthy, and George Almond, carried the NWC art staff to a level of quality they simply hadn't reached before. With HoMM3, the NWC art staff overachieved. - Gregory Fulton
One of the nicest compliments I ever received during my years in the game industry came from my brilliant art director, the beautiful Phelan Sykes. She told me the modelers were fighting over which one of them would get to model my concept for, "The Pillar of Woe," the observer generator. - George Almond

Early Centaur (based on Homm2 Centaur Archer)
-
Centaur: This drawing convinced the producer and writers that the centaur's weapon should be a spear instead of the tradition bow and arrows.

Early Troglodytes
-
Final Troglodyte: My final design for the troglodyte. It occurred to me that since this was a subterranean creature, it would have no use for eyes, and would be blind like a cave fish, relying more on a highly developed sense of smell to find its prey.
-
Troglodyte: My concept was that they had evolved from cave fish.
-
Medusa: Note the war hammer she holds and the shattered statue in the background. My concept was that Medusa first turns her victims to stone and then demolishes them. This was used very effectively in the games opening cinematics.
