Gem was one of the greatest sorceresses that Enroth had ever seen, serving King Roland Ironfist during the Succession Wars. Shortly after Roland had secured the throne of Enroth, Gem left for Erathia, finding a new home in AvLee.

Gem the Druid is a Rampart hero. Gem starts with a spell book and the spell Summon Boat.

In the Shadow of Death campaigns New Beginning and Unholy Alliance, Gem's class is listed as Sorceress though she is still technically a Druid. If you hire Gem in a Tavern in an Unholy Alliance scenario which is dedicated to another hero, you will later be unable to get Gem in a scenario where she is a main character (another Rampart hero will appear instead). The only way to avoid this problem is to get rid of her (e.g by firing).
