Alternate heroes are those that replace others in some situations, for example Sir Mullich replaces Lord Haart in Armageddon's Blade and The Shadow of Death scenarios, or several heroes without Navigation as a starting skill replace heroes with that skill on maps without water. Campaign heroes are disabled by default and play a significant role in campaigns.
