Wights and Wraiths are the level 3 creatures of Necropolis. They are recruited from the Tomb of Souls. They can also be raised with Advanced Necromancy if the hero has equipped the Cloak of the Undead King.

"Wights and wraiths are life destroying spirits damaging their opponents by draining life. The first wight or wraith in each troop regenerates all lost damage at the beginning of each combat round. While wraiths appear on the battlefield, two spell points per turn are drained from an enemy spellcaster's spell points pool." RoE manual

Special Ability: Mana Drain[edit | hide]

While a stack of Wraiths is on the battlefield, they will drain 2 spell points per round from the enemy hero. The effect applies per Wraith stack; for example, 7 stacks of Wraiths will drain 2 spell points each, resulting in 14 spell points drained per round so long as all stacks remain alive.

Appearance[edit | hide]

Some Wraiths appear at the beginning of the From Day to Night scenario from the Long Live the King campaign in Restoration of Erathia.

Some may find the information in this section subjective or irrelevant.

The Wraiths are good to be given to a secondary hero, since their speed is the highest amongst the Necropolis units that will probably not end up in the main army, at least not as a main troop, but just to steal mana, block shooters and get rid of low-level enemy stacks.

Wights are the game's slowest flying unit (speed 5), and Wraiths are the slowest upgraded flying unit (speed 7).
