Palace is a good alignment town with the [Jarl] and [Oracle] hero classes. Palace represents Vori.
"Jarls and Oracles govern the Palaces, DESCRIPTION_ABOUT_CREATURES."
Palace's native terrain is snow.
Palace building tree[edit | hide | hide all]
Common Buildings and Mage Guild[edit | hide]
- Mage Guild level 5
Creature Dwellings[edit | hide]
Unique Buildings[edit | hide]
- Shipyard
- Astrologer (inspired from Heroes V, presumably allows to predict the next weeks/months and maybe change them?)
- Market of Time (allows to buy resources and high value artifacts at a good price but only at certain times)
Heroes[edit | hide]
Palace will feature heroes present in other games in the series, as well as Vori characters who were previously not represented:
- Falagar is an [Oracle], returning from Heroes I, Heroes II, and Might and Magic VI.
- Sil-Gandir is a [Jarl].
- Jinara is an [Oracle].
Faction secondary skill
Initiative is a new secondary skill known to all Jarls and that Oracles have a high chance of learning when leveling up. At the start of a battle, a hero with Initiative chooses one creature from their army that will receive a bonus to their Speed that only applies to their turn order on the first round of battle.
Banned secondary skills:
Some skills are not available for certain hero classes, which means they can only acquire them from Scholars, Witch Huts (except for Necromancy and Leadership, if not allowed by a map-maker), Seer's Huts, Events or Pandora's Boxes.
Necromancy is not available for [Jarl]s and [Oracle]s.
Creatures[edit | hide]
- Tier 1a: Nisse –> Tomte (Nisse are household/farmyard creatures from Nordic folklore. They boast average stats, but are relatively quick. Tomte are great astrologers and astronomers, and craft telescopes. They can Stargaze, which influences one's fate.)
- Tier 1b: Viking –> Einheri (Vikings are classic warriors of the north who have finally found a faction to reside in. They are the tankiest yet slowest level 1 creatures. They are alternatives to Nisse that can be chosen before the game, but also built alternatively in new towns without a level 1 dwelling. Einheri are warriors who have proven their worth and loyalty in battle. They are easier Reincarnate as well as being stronger than their unungraded counterpart.)
- Tier 2: Ice Maiden –> Yuki Onna (Ice Maidens are elemental spirits in servitude to Vori. They hate Gogs. Yuki Onna, Japanese for "Snow Woman", gains increased attack, speed, and shots, as well as the Frost Burn ability which deals additional damage when the target enemy is surrounded.)
- Tier 3: White Tiger –> Sabertooth (White Tigers are sentient beasts that are allied with Vori. They have a preemptive melee retaliation ability, similar to the Bounty Hunter. Sabertooths preemptively retaliate as well as their normal retaliation.)
- Tier 4: Snow Elf –> High Elf (Snow Elves are mysterious isolationist ancestors of the AvLee Wood Elves. They have a ranged retaliation ability. High Elves gain a bonus to their health, speed, and defense, as well as retaliating first at range.)
- Tier 5: Yeti
- Tier 6: Kirin
- Tier 7: Frost Giant -> Jotun
- Tier 7: Valkyrie
The names for the upgraded or non-upgraded versions of the yeti, kirin, and valkyrie have not been revealed yet.
Palace's war machine is currently unknown.
Town names[edit | hide]
Thus far, the only town names which have been made public are Silverchair, Everwinter, and Firmament.
