Lord Haart the Death Knight is a Necropolis hero. Lord Haart starts with a spell book and the spell Slow.

Not available in Restoration of Erathia, but in Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death, Lord Haart is usually only available as a death knight.

In Horn of the Abyss Horn of the Abyss, Lord Haart the Death Knight was renamed to Haart Lich. In order for Haart Lich to be used in the map editor, he has to be enabled in the map specifications.
