Christian was always more of a frontiersman than a Knight, having set foot in nearly every part of Enroth before finally settling into military service in Erathia. Though a wanderer and a bit of a dreamer, his battlefield tactics are feared throughout the world.

Story[edit | hide | hide all]

Sir Christian, an aspiring Fragrance Alchemist, is shipwrecked on the Regnan Isles during a pleasure cruise. While trying to get home, he ends up helping (and fighting) various local tribes and pirates before finally escaping on Catherine's ship as she makes her way from Enroth to Erathia.

Heroes of Might and Magic IV

Christian survived The Reckoning and appeared as a Knight on Axeoth.

[[File: Hero {{{image2}}} (Heroes IV).png]] "During Erathia's restoration and the ensuing wars, Christian proved himself to be a loyal and valuable member of the military. He is a committed and organized commander who provides his service and adventurous spirit to any and all worthy causes." — Biography

Trivia[edit | hide]

  • Christian is named after the developer Christian Vanover, who worked on the first two Heroes games as a map maker, and was later in charge of writing heroes' biographies, the lore from the game's manual and short stories for Restoration of Erathia.
  • One of Sir Christian's previous adventures from before the events of Foolhardy Waywardness Armageddon's Blade is alluded to in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars, where an ocean bottle with a message from him is found. Around the time of the Succession Wars, he was stranded on the Dragon Island. This is how the character was first introduced. His bio later subtly referenced this by stating that Christian is a wanderer who has set foot in nearly every part of Enroth.
  • Marcus Finch addresses him in Geography Lost Lore. Since Christian is from Enroth, him being consulted on the foreign land of Erathia serves as a natural framework for conveying this lore to the audience.
  • His unused bio for Foolhardy Waywardness Armageddon's Blade reads: Sir Christian is a notorious sissy boy. His father has all but given up on his son becoming a great and powerful warlord.
