Wizards are the magic heroes of Tower.

"Wizards are dedicated pursuers of mystical and magical knowledge. While they may lend little to the direct military aspect of a battle, they are likely to turn the tide in their favor with use of mighty arcane forces. Wizards seldom wear any armor, relying on their control of magic to protect them." RoE manual

As they are heroes of a good town, this allows them to get experience on Altar of Sacrifice and in Grotto Horn of the Abyss for artifacts only.

All Wizards start with the secondary skill Wisdom. They cannot learn Necromancy, Resistance, and Interference Horn of the Abyss, which means they can only acquire them from Witch Huts (if allowed), Scholars, Seer's Huts, Pandora's Boxes or Events.
