Beastmasters are the might heroes of Fortress.

"Through physical force and intimidation, Beastmasters build their realms by subjugating those dwelling nearby. As a consequence, they are little interested in the pursuit of mystical knowledge. Beastmasters often costume themselves in the likeness of vicious swamp creatures." RoE manual

As they are heroes of a neutral town, they can get experience by sacrificing both artifacts and creatures on Altar of Sacrifice and in Grotto Horn of the Abyss.

All beastmasters start with the secondary skill Armorer. They cannot learn Necromancy and Fire Magic, which means they can only acquire them from Witch Huts (if allowed), Scholars, Seer's Huts, Pandora's Boxes or Events.
