Yog studied for many years with the Wizards of Bracada, but he was often found reading texts on war rather than those on magic. The Duke of Krewlod offered him a military command, allowing Yog to happily use his knowledge of war. | |||||||||||

Yog the Barbarian is a Stronghold hero.
Story
Yog as he appears in Heroes I. | File:Hero Yog (Birth of a Barbarian).png | Yog (Birth of a Barbarian) is his profile for the Shadow of Death campaign "Birth of a Barbarian". |
Yog's story of becoming a barbarian can be found in Yog (Birth of a Barbarian).
While fighting the necromancers, Yog finds and teams up with Crag Hack, a fellow barbarian. They slowly realize the enormity of Sandro's plans and then further team up with Gelu and Gem, who are fighting against Sandro as well. Together, they assemble the Angelic Alliance (the artifact Yog disassembled and dispersed while becoming a barbarian) to combat the powers of Sandro's artifacts. Once they defeat Sandro, the heroes break apart Sandro's artifacts (the Armor of the Damned and the Cloak of the Undead King) and disperse the pieces throughout Antagarich.
Specialty
The in-game description "Increases the Attack and Defense skills of any Cyclopses or Cyclops Lords for each level attained after 6th level." is erroneous in "each level attained" moment, and lacks the speed bonus information. (Description is fixed in HotA ).
Unlike the native terrain speed bonus, the creature specialty speed bonus can affect the hero's movement points in case the creature is the slowest one in the army.
