Basic effect
Target, non-undead troop is sacrificed (destroyed). Then another target dead troop has ((power + destroyed troop's base health + 3) x # of creatures sacrificed) in health total of creatures returned to life.
Advanced effect
Same as basic effect, except that health total of creatures resurrected is ((power + destroyed troop's base health + 6) x # of creatures sacrificed)-
Expert effect
Target, non-undead troop is sacrificed (destroyed). Then another target dead troop has ((power + destroyed troop's base health + 10) x # of creatures sacrificed).

The spell destroys (sacrifices) the target living troop in order to resurrect creatures of another stack back to life. The other stack must be receptive to the Resurrection spell.

Units that can not be sacrificed or be resurrected with it:

•  Gold Dragon ^{*can be sacrificed but not resurrected}
•   Stone and Obsidian Gargoyles
• Golems
•   Efreet and Efreet Sultan
• Undead
•  Black Dragon
• Elementals
•  Firebird ^{*(not in Horn of the Abyss)}  and  Phoenix
