The spell destroys (sacrifices) the target living troop in order to resurrect creatures of another stack back to life. The other stack must be receptive to the Resurrection spell. A sacrificed stack leaves an empty hex on the battlefield without anything to be resurrected or summoned as Demons.
Units that can not be sacrificed or be resurrected with it:
- Undead
- Golems
Stone and Obsidian Gargoyles
Gold Dragon *can be sacrificed but not resurrected
Fire and Energy Elementals
Firebirds *(not in Horn of the Abyss)
and
Phoenixes
