Winston Boragus' special kinship with the ogres he commands in battle has taken him far in his quest for power. Duke Winston Boragus grew to fame after single handedly slaying the Chieftain (and the Chieftains guards) of his village. He quickly united other tribes under his through brutality and a quick wit. Shortly after his rise to power he easily won the Festival of Life thirty years ago. Duke Boragus has an affinity for controlling ogres in battle so gets a bonus with them. ― For the Throne | |||||||||||

He is not an original Restoration of Erathia hero, but was added in Armageddon's Blade and is also available in Shadow of Death.
By default, Boragus is not playable, but he may be enabled in custom scenarios in the map editor.
Bug: the starting amount of creatures is equal to the one of the common Castle hero (fixed in Horn of the Abyss ).
Story[edit | hide | hide all]
Boragus is also known as Duke Winston Boragus or King Boragus as he is the ruler of Krewlod during the Restoration Wars. He recruited Yog to Krewlod's army and tasked him with dissembling the Angelic Alliance. Boragus was slain by Kilgor in the Festival of Life.
Jabarkas is Boragus' eldest son, and Gundula is his foster child.
Appearances[edit | hide]
- Festival of Life
- For the Throne as an enemy.
Trivia[edit | hide]
- Boragus' portrait is a modified version of concept art of the Stinger, the tier 4 creature of the cancelled Forge town.
Specialty[edit | hide]
The in-game description "Increases the Attack and Defense skills of any Ogre or Ogre Mage for each level attained after 4th level." is erroneous in "each level attained" moment, and lacks the speed bonus information. (Description is fixed in HotA ).
Unlike the native terrain speed bonus, the creature specialty speed bonus can affect the hero's movement points in case the creature is the slowest one in the army.
