Few Bracada scientists have actually seen, let alone handled, a hammer or a furnace. Todd, however, had to learn how to use them, unable to convey his esoteric ideas to blacksmiths and coppersmiths. There was also a scarcity of instruments and materials vital to his research in Bracada; Todd journeyed halfway around the world in search of them before finding what he sought in Burton.

Todd the Artificer is a Factory hero. Todd starts with a spell book and the spell Shield.

Story

A brilliant inventor. Known for innovating Frederick's designs for the Automaton. Though he at one time worked for Bertram, in Deus Ex Machina, Todd races him to build the first Dreadnought. Later, he and Floribert were tasked by Kastore to outfit injured troops with hand prosthetics containing ripsaws. When Kastore took control of Burton, he was one of the few heroes that defected and came to Henrietta's aid in her quest to retake Eeofol.

Trivia

Todd is one of three heroes (not including campaign-only heroes) that starts with troops above level 3, the other two being Bron and Illor.
