Witches are the Magic heroes of the Fortress.
As Fortress is a Neutral alignment town, Witches can gain experience by sacrificing artifacts and creatures at an Altar of Sacrifice or Grotto
.
There are no male Witches in Heroes of Might and Magic III. The term "witch" is also used more generically sometimes, for example with Witch Huts.
"Witches are adept at the use of magic powered by rare ingredients gathered from swamplands. Learning this knowledge takes a focus that allows for little advancement of military knowledge." Restoration of Erathia Manual
Secondary Skills[edit | hide]
Some skills are not available for certain hero classes, which means they can only acquire them from Scholars, Witch Huts (except for Necromancy, Leadership, and Runes
and Leadership, if not allowed by a map-maker), Seer's Huts, Events, or Pandora's Boxes.
Secondary Skills with green numbers are most likely to be learned (7–10) by Witches.
Secondary Skills with red numbers cannot be learned (0) by Witches.
