As with [[Tunnels and Troglodytes]], From Day to Night offers artifacts behind a [[Quest Guard]] in the south depending on which order you completed the previous maps. In reality, however, this is a false choice. The Speculum is already present in From Day to Night, being next to a [[Graveyard]] near the easternmost [[Necropolis]]. The Spyglass is likewise tricky in that you can either surrender the Spirit of Oppression to the quest guard on the eastern edge of [[Corporeal Punishment]] to acquire the [[Pendant of Death]], which can then be used to open the Quest Guard blocking the Spyglass in the northwest corner of [[Season of Harvest]] OR you can select the Pendant of Death as your starting bonus on the same map and reserve the [[Spirit of Oppression]] to free [[Sandro]], who has Expert Necromancy, in Season of Harvest. Unnamed male general: Erathia's military lies before us. It is time to make a bold strike. King Gryphonheart has trained their generals and knows their tactics. Morale will decide this battle. Morale is not a factor for the undead. Once we fill our ranks with their dead, our horde will grow and their morale will falter. Then we will swarm over them. Soon King Gryphonheart will rule Erathia once again.

User Commentary
As with Tunnels and Troglodytes, From Day to Night offers artifacts behind a Quest Guard in the south depending on which order you completed the previous maps. While both yield friendly Bone Dragons, the one on the left has a Cartographer and a Titan's Cuirass in return for the Speculum and the one on the right has a Dragon Vault and a Titan's Gladius in return for a Spyglass.
In reality, however, this is a false choice. The Speculum is already present in From Day to Night, being next to a Graveyard near the easternmost Necropolis. The Spyglass is likewise tricky in that you can either surrender the Spirit of Oppression to the quest guard on the eastern edge of Corporeal Punishment to acquire the Pendant of Death, which can then be used to open the Quest Guard blocking the Spyglass in the northwest corner of Season of Harvest OR you can select the Pendant of Death as your starting bonus on the same map and reserve the Spirit of Oppression to free Sandro, who has Expert Necromancy, in Season of Harvest. Either approach will allow you to select both sets of rewards.
