Some may find the information in this section subjective or irrelevant.

  • This campaign is dedicated to Fortress, but also features many Castle and Necropolis towns, which is very useful since Fortress doesn't have 4 level Mage Guild.
  • Form a "team" of Adrienne, which means that not only Adrienne herself, but other heroes should get high level and proper skills. It will help in the final scenario, when you have many towns to conquer and retain. As imprisoned Sir Michael gets liberated with high level and there's no guarantee that he has Wisdom and Earth Magic, hire Fortress heroes, and one of them will be a "number two" to Adrienne, in fact being as important as the protagonist.
  • Don't win first and second scenarios until you boost your heroes. In the second one, you may deliberately let one dwelling remain unflagged, place a useless hero next to it (possibly it's Adrienne whose upgrading is done), and when the whole task is finished, visit it.
  • In the first scenario, build 4 level Mage Guilds in every Castle, so as Adrienne and other heroes who advance to the second scenario will learn as many high level spells as possible.
  • Inferno, starting spell of Adrienne, is very helpful for her early battles against weak undead groups, even though it is not as powerful as some other spells attacking many units (like Meteor Shower). Press wait so as the stacks summon together, and burn them all. Inferno will also allow Adrienne to rush through the map very fast, using just one Serpent Fly and leaving slow troops in the garrison.
  • Destroy Undead is another spell very useful for the entire campaign.
  • Build a Cage of Warlords in all your Fortress towns so as to get +1 Defense, and conquer neutral Fortress towns so as to build it there.
  • Try to visit all map objects which increase primary skills, as well as all your Fortress towns, by each hero advancing to the further scenario. You will be very lucky if you get Town Portal in the first scenario.
  • The second scenario has Seer's Huts containing fourth level spells. If your heroes from the first scenario already have them, give these spells to the new heroes (be sure they have Advanced or Expert Wisdom).
