Conquest of the Underworld is the second episode in the Heroes Chronicles. It was sold as a stand-alone game using the Shadow of Death version of the engine, but missing multiplayer and random or custom maps.

Backstory

The Ancestors send Tarnum to help Queen Allison rescue the soul of her father from the depth of the Underworld. But the demons and undead are the least of his worries when Tarnum faces his past crimes.

Tarnum must reach the Underworld Gate and defeat the Devils below to secure passage into the Underworld. You must not lose Tarnum. All Heroes will be limited to level 6, but Tarnum and two of his Captains will transfer to the next scenario with all of their skills, spells, and experience.
The Boatman M Either +1 Attack Skill or +1 Defense Skill Red (player), Purple (ally), Blue, Green, and Orange (enemies) Acquire Artifact Lose Hero
Find the Orb of Inhibition in order to pay the Boatman for passage. Do not lose Tarnum. All Heroes will be limited to level twelve, but Tarnum and two of his Captains will transfer to the next scenario with all of their skills, spells, and experience.
Truth Within Nightmares M+ Either +1 Attack Skill or +1 Defense Skill Red (player), Blue, Orange, and Purple (enemies) Defeat Hero or Defeat All Enemies Lose Hero
Tarnum must kill Sandro to get the key to the next level. All Heroes are limited to level 18, but Tarnum and two of his best Captains will transfer over to the next scenario. The Sword of Judgement will also carry over to the next scenario. Tarnum, of course, must not die.
Twisted Tunnels S Either +1 Spell Power or +1 Knowledge Red (player), Blue, Green, and Purple (enemies) Defeat All Enemies Lose Hero
Tarnum must defeat the Dungeon Overlords to continue to the next level. As before, the game is lost if Tarnum is killed. All Heroes will be limited to level 20, but Tarnum and two of his best Captains will carry over to the next scenario with all of their skills, spells and experience.
Jorm's Ambush S+ Either +1 Knowledge or +1 Spell Power Red (player), Blue (ally), Purple (enemy) Acquire Artifact Lose Hero
Tarnum must gain access to the Spirit of Oppression without getting himself killed. All Heroes will be limited to level 24, but Tarnum and his two best Captains will transfer to the next scenario with all of their skills, spells and experience.
Old Wounds L Either City Hall or Citadel Red (player), Orange, Purple and Blue (enemies) Acquire Artifact Lose Hero
Tarnum must find the Pendant of Second Sight. All Heroes will be limited to level 28, but Tarnum and two of his best Captains will transfer to the next scenario with all of their spells, skills and experience.
The Queen's Command S+ Either Endless Sack of Gold or Expert Estates Red (player), Blue and Green (allies), Orange and Purple (enemies) Defeat All Enemies Lose Hero
Tarnum must defeat all of his enemies. Tarnum and Queen Allison must not be killed. All Heroes will be limited to level 32, but Tarnum will transfer over to the next scenario.
Never Deal with a Demon M+ Either 20 Royal Griffins or 25 Marksmen Red (player), Purple (ally), Blue, Green, Orange and Pink (enemy) Defeat Hero or Defeat All Enemies Lose Hero
Tarnum must defeat Deezelisk and all of his allies in order to rescue Queen Allison.
